For the first Garmonbozia live show, Sophia and Gabriel decided to try something different and expand their ranks to a trio. U8 Touch Guitarist Matt Tate was the logical choice for a third member, as he was their bandmate in both The Gabriel Construct and his band Pavlov(3) (pavlov3.bandcamp.com/album/curvature-induced-symmetry-breaking). The show was on 9/30/17 at the Handsome Squid, Chicago, IL. A full video of their set that night can be viewed at youtu.be/-QmxehqSfgw

Their sole rehearsal for that show came just 3 days before the gig. It was the first time the three of them had played together in this style. Gabriel recorded the sessions, but didn't listen to them until many years later, while preparing for the second Garmonbozia show (thegabrielconstruct.bandcamp.com/album/garmonbozia-drone-night-10-29-23). He was surprised by what he'd unearthed, and so he sent the stems to Markus Reuter (Stick Men, etc.), giving him full permission to treat the tracks in whatever manner moved him.
